Halloween Recap

I hope everyone had a fabulous Halloween weekend! Since I had two costume parties to attend this year, I had fun coming up with two different costume ideas. Both nights were inspired by 1980s children’s culture. On Friday I was the illusive Carmen Sandiego while my husband went as Waldo from Where’s Waldo? As expected, everyone had a hard time finding us. Sadly I forgot to bring my camera so I don’t have any proof that we were actually there, but you can enjoy this instead:

Saturday night a few grad school friends and I dressed up as the four original members of the Baby-sitters Club: Kristy, Claudia, Stacey, and Mary Anne.

That’s me all the way on the right, dressed as Mary Anne. We all look about twelve years old in the picture which, I suppose, is exactly the point.

Anyone else inspired by the ’80s for Halloween this year?

Thanks Shari! I think the costumes brought back memories for everyone – at both parties, the conversations seemed to revolve around ’80s toys, games, and books. Fun times!
