Retreating and Vacationing

(If you have a minute, pop over to YA Outside the Lines where I have a post up about giving characters their independence.)

I’ve been running around all week trying to get things in order because this weekend I’ll be hopping on a plane and heading out to the annual Erin Murphy Agency retreat. Woohoo! Last year was my first time attending, and I had a fantastic time. I left the retreat feeling inspired and invigorated and many other “i” words.

This year, Husband Ray will be meeting me after the retreat and we’ll be heading up to Vancouver for a few days. It’s been a while since we’ve been on a real vacation, so I’m really looking forward to it, and I’ve heard nothing but good things about Vancouver.

That means I’ll be away from the blog for the next couple weeks, but fear not: I’ll schedule some posts to get you through. You’ll barely even know I’m gone. And when I get back, I’m sure I’ll have lots of pictures and stories to share.

The writing retreat sounds like a wonderful place for creative refueling and inspiration.
