WIP Wednesday: Done Revising (For Now)

It’s the end of the semester, which means that I need to put aside revising for a little while and focus on reading papers, grading, etc. Luckily, I managed to get UnFairy 3 ready to send to one of my beta readers last night. (Yay for small victories!)
I’m still feeling uncertain about the story, though I think I’ve managed to make it more tense and interesting in this last round of revisions. I’m sure there are elements missing, but at this point I need someone else to point me toward what those might be.
For now I’m going to try not to think about the WIP and focus on other responsibilities instead. Hopefully when I come back to it next week, I’ll feel ready to dive in again.
How are you all doing with your WIPs? Anyone else taking a little break?

I’m trying to take a break… and tearing my hair out in the meantime! What to do with myself when I’m not writing? Lately the answer seems to be tackling my to-do list, and it’s no fun at all!
Congrats on getting your wip out to the betas. That’s a great achievement! Good luck getting everything wrapped up with work.

I’m trying new things and working on some fun stuff as I recover from November’s NaNoWriMo and before diving head first into my new year writing goals! December is always a good month to not be too serious with my writing and just feel the joy of writing without the stress of revisions and submitting and rejections. That’s what January through October is for!

Yes, Beta-reader time is a really good time to sit down (briefly) and take a holiday spice-infused breath~~
Oh, and WIP is going to have to wait till 2013. That’s Jan. 2nd, 2013…

Congrats on finishing your latest draft! I just incorporated beta feedback into my manuscript and it’s finally ready to start querying.

I’m taking a break, something I always do around the holiday. It’s just too festive a time of year to sit by myself to write.

Sometimes we need those little breaks. I’m sure you did a fantastic job. What would we do without beta readers?
