One Week Left!

Um, guys? I just realized something this morning: MY EPIC FAIRY TALE FAIL comes out in exactly one week! The release has completely snuck up on me, probably because I’ve been so focused on revising the third book.
How does it feel to have my second book almost out in the world? Exciting, amazing, and totally surreal. A few years ago, I was desperate to sell just one book. If you’d told me I had not one but two series in my future, I would’ve thought someone had replaced your brain with Jell-O.
So what will I be doing to celebrate the release? Well, I already mentioned that I’ll be having a launch party on March 2nd (all are welcome!) and I’ll also do some online stuff on the official release date including a Twitter game and giveaway, and maybe something fun on Facebook. Stay tuned!
I must say that this time around, I’m much less anxious about the book release than I was the first time around. I know not everyone will love the book, and that when I look back at the story, there will always be things I wish I’d done differently, but I’m learning that that’s all part of the process.
The fact that I have other projects keeping me busy is definitely helping me not stress too much about the second book. But, of course, we have to celebrate our accomplishments, so once I send my revision of UnFairy 3 to my editor on Monday, I’ll let myself really enjoy the fact that another one of my children is heading out into the world. And I’m going to throw her one awesome birthday party.

Yay! Must be a great feeling to have a launch the second time, and less to worry about, and therefore more space to just enjoy it. So enjoy!
Still debating if I’m going to be able to come or not, but really hoping so!

Your pooch is adorable. What a well behaved dog to sit politely wearing a BD hat and *not gobble up* that steak.
Years ago my mother lived in Brookline Massachusetts. I know that branch! I’m now across the continent, but will be having cake with you because, ahmm, My Epic Fairy Tale Fail’s official BD also happens to be my BD… Blowing balloons!

This is so exciting! Congrats! (And how did you train that dog? Mine would have dived into the goodies before the flash had a chance to go off.)

Thanks, guys!
Mirka and Ann, that is NOT my dog. Haha. It’s just a picture I found online. I suspect my dog would not be quite so patient.
